The 72-entrant field created a prize pool of $1,800,000 of which the top 11 finishers earned a piece. Daniel Negreanu, Cary Katz, and Ian Bradley all made deep runs but fell just short of the money. Tomas Ribeiro was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his shorter stack in against Furth and the runout gave Furth a flush on the river to eliminate Ribeiro on the bubble.

Davies secured the chip lead late in the night when he flopped a straight and was up against Lou Garza in a pot of about 80 big blinds. Garza had the nut flush draw but the runout bricked to eliminate him in 11th place. The 10 remaining players played out Level 12 before they bagged for the night to return for the final day.
With his cash in this event, Sipila has overtaken fellow Finn Eelis Parssinen on the PGT PLO Series leaderboard in the race for the PGT Gold Cup and $10,000 PGT Passport. He will be looking to lock up the title and add his third win of the series, while Weisman, Le, and Keijzer will be looking to collect a second victory this series.
Each player has locked up $54,000 but all eyes will be on the $522,000 first-place prize, 313 PGT points, and Event #9 trophy.
