The 2025 PGT PLO Series continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Event #8: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty. The first-ever mystery bounty tournament held in the PokerGO Studio drew 78 entries, and Tyler Brown leads the final three players.

Brown hung around the middle of the field until level eight when a hand between him and Taylor Wilson saw him pot the turn and shove the river to chip-up to a top-five stack. Brown was then a top-three stack by level eleven, and once the money bubble broke, Brown went on an absolute tear to eliminate John Riordan, Lautaro Guerra, Jim Collopy, Sam Soverel, Chino Rheem, and Brian Breck to near the 5,000,000 chip mark.

The 78-entrant field created a prize pool worth $1,170,000, with $390,000 allocated to the bounty pool, and the final 12 players all earned at least $19,500, with the eventual winner taking home $218,500 and 262 PGT Points. The bounties in this mystery bounty format were put into play with 15 players remaining, creating a multi-bubble situation that saw event number five fifth-place finisher Kamel Mokhammad eliminated on the bounty bubble when his ace-king-queen-ten couldn't improve against the flopeed trip fours of Bryce Yockey.

The expectation of an extended money bubble dissipated immediately when Yockey eliminated Nacho Barbero, Nick Schulman, and Tomasz Krzesinski in a wild four-way all-in on the very next hand played

Brown pulled the first three bounties of the tournament and, in an incredible sequence, scored the $125,000, $50,000, and $25,000 bounties in that order, the three biggest bounties of the event.

The swift eliminations saw the field drop to five players fairly early in the evening, so a decision was made to play down to three. Wilson fell in fourth place to miss the streamed final table when his ace-king-queen-deuce couldn't hold against Yockey's ace-nine-eight-six.

Eleven of the 15 bounties have been pulled so far, and the remaining bounties include one $50,000, one $25,000, one $15,000, and one $5,000.

The race for the PLO Series champion Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport is heating up, as this is Daniel Negreanu's fourth cash of the series and second final table. Negreanu won event number three and sits ninth on the series leaderboard, but a victory would place him just ahead of current points leader Alex Foxen. Brown is still chasing a win, but he also collects his fourth cash of the series and second final table, and a win puts him within striking distance of Foxen with three events remaining. Yockey is in a similar situation as Brown, as he scores his fifth cash of the series and third final table. A win places him in the top five heading into the home stretch.
