The 2024 Poker Masters presented by PokerStars NAPT continued on Tuesday from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #7: $15,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The penultimate event of the series drew 76 entries and Brock Wilson leads the final five players.
Wilson held one of the top stacks for much of the latter half of the day and continued to accumulate and score knockouts to become the overnight chip leader. He leads a final table that includes Seth Davies, Michael Moncek, John Riordan, and David Stamm. These five players will return on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. already guaranteed $79,800. Up top for the winner is the $330,600 first-place prize, 331 PGT points, and the Event #7 trophy.
The field of 76 entrants created a prize pool of $1,140,000 and the final 11 players earned a piece of it. Daniel Weinand was the unfortunate bubble boy for the second consecutive day when he got pocket nines in against king-queen and a queen hit the flop. Alex Foxen (11th), Victoria Livschitz (10th), Justin Saliba (9th), and Nicholas Seward (8th) were the first to fall in the money.
Seven players converged on a single table and Clemen Deng was eliminated in seventh place when he called off the rest of his stack on the river and ran into trips. Kristen Foxen lost a chunk of her stack with kings against Riordan's suited ace-king when a flush came in on the river, and soon after, she ran sevens into Wilson's jacks. The runout provided no help and Foxen was eliminated in sixth place, while the five remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
Wilson, Moncek, and Riordan each picked up their second cash of the series, while Davies and Stamm notched their first as the race heats up for the 2024 Poker Masters Purple Jacket, which comes with a $25,000 PGT Passport and a PokerStars NAPT Gold Pass.
