The 2024 PGT PLO Series II presented by PLO Mastermind continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Event #5: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty. The tournament drew 82 entries and Isaac Haxton leads the final six players.
Haxton picked up aces to score a massive double late in the evening and further accumulated to hold a huge lead with over 57% of the chips in play. He leads a final table that includes Ben Lamb as the only other player with an above-average stack, while Alex Foxen, Joe Serock, Bryce Yockey, and Joni Jouhkimainen round out the remaining players. These six players will return already guaranteed $36,900, while all eyes will be on the $169,740 first-place prize in addition to the bounties, 289 PGT points, and the Event #5 trophy.
In this progressive bounty format, when you eliminate another player, you receive half of their bounty as a cash prize, and the other half goes towards increasing your own bounty.
The field of 82 entrants created a prize pool of $1,230,000. Forty percent of it was set aside for the bounties and the final 12 players earned a piece of the regular prize pool. Taylor Wilson had the chip lead on the money bubble, but after three players doubled through him, he found himself all-in and at risk of elimination. Wilson got his stack in with top set on the turn, and when Lamb rivered a wheel, Wilson was the unfortunate bubble boy. Ronald Keijzer (12th), Matthew Wantman (11th), Daniel Geeng (10th), Jesse Lonis (9th), and John Riordan (8th) were among those to cash in the event.

Dylan Weisman won the previous progressive bounty event in the series and made another deep run before he got the rest of his chips in against Haxton. Both players had two queens in their hands and were likely to chop, but Haxton rivered a straight to eliminate Weisman in seventh place, and the six remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
