The 2025 PGT PLO Series continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #9: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha. The tournament drew 71 entries and Jesse Lonis leads the final five players.
Lonis came into the final table as the short stack, but after doubling twice and scoring a knockout, he bagged the overnight chip lead. Lonis leads a final table that includes Lautaro Guerra, Chino Rheem, Alex Foxen, and Daniel Negreanu. These five players will return already guaranteed $74,550, while all eyes will be on the $308,850 first-place prize, 247 PGT points, and the Event #9 trophy.
The field of 71 entrants created a prize pool of $1,065,000 and the final 11 players earned a piece of it. Jim Collopy was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his last few chips in and ran into Negreanu's aces. John Riordan (11th), Christopher Frank (10th), Nick Schulman (9th), and Bryce Yockey (8th) were among those to cash in the event.
The remaining field converged on a single table and Dylan Weisman was the first to go. He got his chips in on a flop with aces and a nut flush draw against Rheem's two pair, and although he turned the flush, the river gave Rheem a boat and Weisman was eliminated in seventh place. Richard Gryko was the next to fall in sixth place when he got aces in against Lonis' flopped two pair and failed to improve. The five remaining players finished out the level and bagged to return for the streamed final table.
Negreanu and Guerra each notched their fifth cash of the series, while Foxen, Rheem, and Lonis each picked up their fourth. Foxen currently sits at the top of the series leaderboard with 449 points in the race for the PLO Series champion Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport, while Rheem (344 points), Negreanu (337 points), Lonis (289 points), and Guerra (143 points) will all be looking to move on up.
