Twice a week on Run it Back a top player joins the show to break down your favorite poker shows, final tables, cash games, and much more! This week, Dan Smith hopped on the show to watch the final table of the 2018 Poker Masters $100,000 No Limit Hold’em event. This final table was stacked with the likes of Christoph Vogelsang, Brandon Adams, Stephen Chidwick, David Peters, Bryn Kenney, and Koray Aldemir and a whopping $1.1 million up top for the winner.
After Dan gets us caught up with what’s been going on in his life in 2020, he runs us through his usual big event preperation as well the story on how he ended up playing the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop on 36-hour notice as well as how he ended up playing the Triton Million.
Arguably the most fascinating hand from this entire show came at the start when Smith battled with Stephen Chidwick in a massive pot that ended up being crucial for his end result in this event. Smith flopped top pair top kicker against Chidwick who unloaded the clip to create a spot he still seemed rattled by to this day!
Along the way, during this show that runs for nearly two hours, Smith provides various insights into play at the highest level as well as his thoughts on who belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of No Limit Hold’em!
