Sean Winter, Larry Greenberg Round Out ARIA Super High Roller Bowl Picks

After ARIA announced 15 players that would compete in this year’s Super High Roller Bowl, three seats still remained open. One of those seats is still set to be filled by the Super High Roller Bowl satellite winner, but ARIA has filled the two remaining open spots. World Poker Tour Bellagio Elite Poker Championship winner Larry Greenberg and Sean Winter will take the final two seats, which brings the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl field to 47 players.

Greenberg is the most recent addition to the WPT’s Champions Club. Earlier this month, Greenberg bested a 126-player field to win his first major title and $378,000. While the high stakes regular looks set to parlay his recent score into the Super High Roller Bowl, the win was not the biggest of Greenberg’s career. A 10th place result in the 2013 $111,111 buy-in High Roller for One Drop earned Greenberg just shy of $385,000. That event was also Greenberg’s first real foray into High Roller level tournaments, so he will be hoping for the same success when he makes his Super High Roller Bowl debut later this month.

Winter has four ARIA High Roller Series victories on his tournament resume, with three of those wins coming in 2017. In fact, all three of those wins came in the same month, as Winter won two $10,000 High Roller events and a $25,000 High Roller in August. Those results have helped Winter push his career earnings over the $6 million mark, along with three six-figure scores through the first third of 2018. Winter earned $175,000 for a U.S. Poker Open podium finish earlier this year and a month later earned $157,000 for a runner-up finish in an ARIA High Roller Series $25K event. Winter will compete in the Super High Roller Bowl for the second consecutive year, after being selected in 2017’s lottery.
