It took until the very last event of the series for Chidwick to solidify himself atop the Poker Masters leaderboard, and he did so with a second-place finish after outlasting all others in contention. Entering the final event, Lithuanian Vladas Tamasauskas was on top of the leaderboard. Tamasauskas was in first place ever since he won the opening event of the series, but he would be sitting on the sidelines watching the final table of the finale play out because he busted on Day 1. In the end, it was Chidwick's second-place finish that allowed him to surpass Tamasauskas, fade all others, and win the Purple Jacket.
Chidwick was one of seven players to cash four or more times at the 2023 Poker Masters, and he was the only player to win more than $1,000,000 in prize money.
