Day 46 of the 2024 World Series of Poker would see a total seven events playing across Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, while all eyes remained on Day 6 of the WSOP Main Event as 160 players returned to battle.

Big Pros Fall, Kevin Davis Takes Chip Lead

The WSOP Main Event rolled on from the Horseshoe Las Vegas with 160 players returning with a guaranteed $70,000 in prize money. With big name pros still in contention, a plethora of those would be eliminated on Day 6 as Chris Brammer, Leonard Maue, Tony Dunst, Jacob Ferro, Aleks Ponakovs, Joe Tehan, Ren Lin, Casey Stewart, and Alex Greenblatt all eliminated throughout the day.

Emerging as the overall chip leader was Kentucky's Kevin Davis who bagged 26,250,000 in chips. He is trailed by one of two females remaining - Shundan Xiao - who finished with 23,925,000. The other female still in contention is four-time WSOP bracelet winner Kristen Foxen with 14,500,000. 

Among the 59 players that advanced to Day 7 with a guaranteed $160,000 in prize money, Tag Team winner Jason James, online phenom Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, Jonathan Tamayo, Joe Serock, six-time WSOP bracelet winner and Poker Hall of Fame member Brian Rast, high-stakes crusher Brian Kim, PokerGO Podcast Pro Arthur Morris, Alex Keating, Brandon Cantu, and Stephen Song.

Sascha Wilhelm Wins $1k PLO Mystery Bounty 

Only ten players returned for the final day of Event #86: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty, and it would be Germany's Sascha Wilhelm emerging victorious to win his first career WSOP bracelet and the the $282,290 first-place prize. Omaha experts Robert Cowen and Bryce Yockey both fell short of another WSOP bracelet, with Cowen exiting in 10th place, and Yockey falling in seventh-place.

Calvin Anderson and Dai Ishibashi Heads-Up for $10k 8-Game Bracelet

The 189-entrant field in Event #88: $10,000 8-Game Mix Championship is down to the final two players with Calvin Anderson heads-up for his fifth WSOP bracelet against Japan's Dai Ishibashi. Anderson holds just under a two-to-one advantage over Ishibashi, with both players having locked up $271,351 in prize money, but playing for the $413,446 first-place prize. 

Reaching the final table, but falling short of reaching heads-up play was Ali Eslami, Mike Watson, Paul Gunness, Tom Koral, and Andres Korn. Gus Hansen was eliminated in eighth place, while overnight chip leader Adam Friedman exited in 11th place.

Long Tran Leads $1,500 PLO Final Table

The 1,304-entrant field in Event #90: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed is down to the final six players with Long Tran holding the chip lead. Players have locked up $46,144, but all eyes are on the $269,530 first-place prize.

The 357-entrant field in Event #91: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. is down to the final 17 players with Wooram Cho holding the chip lead ahead of John Racener, Gary Bolden, and David "ODB" Baker. Other notables still in contention include Jeremy Ausmus, Paul Campbell, Arash Ghaneian, and Ismael Bojang. Players have locked up $8,042 in prize money, but all eyes are on the $206,321 first-place prize and WSOP bracelet.

Joseph Cheong Leads 56 Survivors in $50K No-Limit Hold'em High Roller

Event #92: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller attracted 150 entrants and are down to 56 players with Joseph Cheong holding the chip lead. Cheong bagged an impressive 3,350,000 in chips for 168 big blinds, and he leads ahead of Erik Seiel (1,930,000), David Peters (1,760,000), Brek Schutten (1,660,000), and Michael Moncek (1,575,000). Registration is open for the first level of Day 2.

Day 1B of $3K Mid-Stakes Championship Attracts 2,811

Following Day 1A which attracted 1,161 entrants and ended with 324 players advancing to Day 2, Day 1B would see 2,811 entrants as 593 players advanced to Day 2. Dusti Smith finished as the overall chip leader with 492,000 which ranks third overall heading into Day 2 behind Jonathan Newman (573,500) and Herve Gouzil (505,000). Registration remains open in Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship for one level on Day 2.
