The 2024 Poker Masters presented by PokerStars NAPT culminated on Wednesday from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #8: $25,200 No-Limit Hold’em. The finale of the series drew 68 entries and Andrew Lichtenberger leads the final seven players.

Lichtenberger held a shorter stack towards the end of the night before he went on a fortuitous run to surge into the overnight chip lead. Within an hour, he multiplied his stack by a factor of eight when he won a race to double, rivered a two-outer to double again, and then rivered a flush to eliminate Brock Wilson. Lichtenberger then leveraged his stack and scored another couple of knockouts to finish the night with nearly one-third of the chips in play.

"LuckyChewy" leads a final table that includes Aram Zobian, Ben Tollerene, Taylor von Kriegenbergh, Sam Soverel, Filipp Khavin, and Victoria Livschitz. These seven players will return on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. already guaranteed $68,000. Up top for the winner is the $510,000 first-place prize, 306 PGT points, and the Event #8 trophy.

The field of 68 entrants created a prize pool of $1,700,000 and the final 10 players earned a piece of it. John Riordan was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his short stack in and ran into Lichtenberger's ladies. Jeremy Ausmus (10th) and Michael Brinkenhoff (9th) were the first to fall in the money.

On the final hand of the night, Justin Zaki moved in his 20 big blinds from the small blind and Zobian called in the big blind. Zaki had ace-king against Zobian's sevens, and when the runout provided no help, Zaki was eliminated in eighth place while the seven remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.

Zaki was the only remaining player who had a shot to catch up to Jim Collopy on the Poker Masters leaderboard, and with Zaki's elimination, Collopy clinched the 2024 Poker Masters Purple Jacket, which comes with a $25,000 PGT Passport and a PokerStars NAPT Gold Pass.
