Phil Ivey Puts His Poker Skills on Display at World Series of Poker Europe

Phil Ivey is an enigma of enormous proportions in the world of poker and we were all very excited to see him join the action at World Series of Poker Europe in Rozvadov.

With this excitement in mind, prior to the events starting and with very little knowledge of the situation, I took a stance and predicted that he would win a World Series of Poker bracelet in Rozvadov, and while he hasn’t come this far yet Phil Ivey is still putting together an impressive string of results.

First, Ivey made a run in the €250,000 where he barely missed out on the money. In that event, Ivey made a colossal misclick on which he nearly got punished by Mikita Badziakouski but the Belorussian decided to let this one go.

Then, in an event that wasn’t captured by the cameras, Ivey finished second in the €100,000 Short Deck High Roller to Leon Tsoukernik. Ivey collected €826,500 for his efforts while Leon recorded his second career seven-figure score for €1,102,000.

Today, Ivey played on PokerGO at the final table of the €25,000 Shortt Deck event where it was Cary Katz who busted in third place for €256,500 before Ivey went heads up with Jonathan Depa.

While there wasn’t a WSOP bracelet on the line, Ivey still collected €384,750 for his second-place while Depa took home €641,100 for his win. This win marked the biggest score of Depa’s live tournament career while Ivey boosts his career tournament earnings up to $27.9 million.
