The PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas continued at Resorts World in Las Vegas with Day 2 of the $25,000 Super High Roller running simultaneously alongside other events, including the $5,300 NAPT Main Event.

With registration open until the start of play in the $25,000 Super High Roller, the 44-entrant field grew to 60 entrants as the likes of David Peters, John Racener, Andrew Lichtenberger, Justin Saliba, Ky Nguyen, Aram Zobian, Nick Schulman, Martin Zamani, John Riordan, and Jeremy Ausmus were some of the 16 players jumping in on the final bell. The 60-entrant field created a prize pool of $1,440,600 as the top eight finishers would be in the money, and the eventual winner set to take home $439,400 in prize money, 264 PGT points, and the NAPT Las Vegas spade trophy.

As players hit the rail throughout the day, the eliminations of Justin Saliba and Clemen Deng in a double knockout by Stephen Song would put the final nine at one table and on the money bubble. Song held the chip lead over the final nine, and Nicholas Seward would be eliminated on the money bubble when his ace-king was unable to improve against the pocket queens of Jim Collopy. Paul Jager was eliminated in eighth place when his king-jack failed to improve against the ace-three of Song, while Brock Wilson was eliminated in seventh place when his queen-ten went down to Sean Winter's ace-queen.

Frenchman Thomas Eychenne was eliminated in sixth place when he ran his ace-jack suited into the ace-queen of Song before Spaniard Elias Gutierrez was eliminated in fifth place when his pocket fours ran into the pocket eights of Winter. Song parlayed his hot run of cards during the latter stages of Day 2 into the chip lead as he finished with 9,010,000 in chips - more than 60% of the chips in play. A victory for Song would be his second major title in as many months after he won the EPT Barcelona €5,300 Main Event for €1,290,386. It would also thrust him up to 86th on the PGT leaderboard to be in striking distance of qualifying for the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

Second overall is Sean Winter with 2,450,000 in chips, and he can move into striking distance of the top ten on the PGT leaderboard with a victory. Third overall is Poker Masters Purple Jacket winner Jim Collopy with 2,210,000 in chips. Collopy is having an outstanding 2024 PGT season, and can push his way into third on the PGT leaderboard with a victory. Ed Sebesta rounds out the final four players with 1,335,000 in chips, and is cashing for the fourth time during the 2024 PGT season.
